OCTOBER 5, 2016

“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.”

ISAIAH 31-33

 13The Lord says:
“These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
Their worship of me
is based on merely human rules they have been taught. (29:13)
PHILIPPIANS 1

3I thank my God every time I remember you. 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

JOURNAL

To live is to do. Love is active...the commands of God are to do, not to wait to be done to. God has given me life and with that life I am commanded to do good works and to work for God. I no longer need to fret and wonder about my worth or my value. God has redeemed me and given me the gift of life every day. To waste it worrying about tomorrow or fretting over the past is to destroy the present moment. The present moment is where God resides...it is in this moment that my relationship with God exists. Not in the hope of tomorrow or in the thoughts of yesterday but simply in today, right now.

9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
