“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to
succeed, but I am bound to live up to what light I have.”
― Abraham Lincoln
PROVERBS 19-20
4Such confidence we have through Christ before God. 5Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
God's purpose and his spirit is what ultimately prevails. We deeply desire an unfailing love and that can only be received through Christ. Our ultimate purpose is to reflect that in a world that tends to live for itself. Therefore conflict, heartache and frustration are inevitable, yet God's spirit is indomitable, it will inspire and sustain us no matter the circumstance.JOURNAL
22 years ago so many people thought it was just another day. They assumed they would just go to work and be home that night. Yet they never returned, or they returned changed forever, that's not just on 9/11, that is the reality of our lives, that's why not embracing the miracle of today can be so tragic. We may only have today, so it needs to be lived fully reflecting the love of God to a world that is desperately needing his love. That's our purpose...
16But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
