 5Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

JOURNAL 

Focusing on the moment is a hard concept only because we have the ability to think beyond the present moment. If we didn't have the ability to imagine, plan, dream then living in the moment would be our only choice. This ability is an amazing gift but can also be an awful distraction and detriment. It can breed irrational fears, delusions, fantasies etc. that can distract from the only thing we can truly control which is the here and now. However it is the key to conceptualizing God, his prophesies and the promise of Heaven. 

The key though is to be able to trust God with those dreams, and promises while focusing my effort and energy in the here and now...

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

4a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace
