“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
― Albert Einstein

2 CHRONICLES 34-36

Book of the Law is found and read to Josiah who tears his robes in despair once he realizes how his forefathers rejected God, the prophetess Huldah gives the following response...
27Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God when you heard what he spoke against this place and its people, and because you humbled yourself before me and tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the Lord28Now I will gather you to your ancestors, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place and on those who live here.’ ”

JOHN 19:1-22

Jesus' last words with Pilate...

7The Jewish leaders insisted, “We have a law, and according to that law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God.”
8When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid, 9and he went back inside the palace. “Where do you come from?” he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer. 10“Do you refuse to speak to me?” Pilate said. “Don’t you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?”
11Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

12From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jewish leaders kept shouting, “If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar.”

JOURNAL

Josiah was passionate about serving God and being obedient. Jesus humbled himself in complete obedience...

What will today hold? I don't know but to understand and truly be passionate about obedience and love of God means that I don't fret or worry. It means I do my best to obey God and love others. That's all God asks of me. Based on my own makeup, old habits, memories, wounds...that sometimes is not very pretty in it's application. However, everyday it becomes clearer that being content with God's love only and in turn being passionate about following him and loving others is my greatest hope. Realize that there are so many blessings just in this moment. There are so many miracles happening all around me. I am thankful for another day...blessed that my heart is beating and that I have my mind and my physical abilities. I am to use them for good in serving God...
22Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. 25Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.
~ Colossians 3:22-25
