“Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.” ~ Sun Tzu
JUDGES 15-17
Samson leads Israel for 20 years and then is weakened by his relationship with Delilah...
4Some time later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. 5The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekelsa of silver.”
Jesus sends out the 72...LUKE 10:1-24
1After this the Lord appointed seventy-twoa others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
JOURNAL
Again the reality that conflict and problems will always exist threatens to discourage me. I wonder how often my daydreams or wishes or escapes are about trying to flee from problems and conflict. They exist everywhere and are from all that I have read...not one single person has ever been able to escape them...no matter how much money, power and prestige they possess. It simply is just part of this life that we live. For Jesus to say that he is sending the 72 out like lambs among wolves...indicates that he is willingly sending them into trouble.
Then there is Samson who for all his conquering...he is undone by love. It is a grim reminder that wolves also can be in sheep's clothing.

15“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. (Matthew 7:15-16)
