OCTOBER 19, 2025

“God is calling you to change the world one life at a time and one small step at a time. Begin today where you are.”

― Dillon BurroughsUndefending Christianity

JEREMIAH 1-2

6“Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”
7But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

2 THESSALONIANS 2

15So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachingscwe passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.
16May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

JOURNAL

It is so easy to get caught up in tomorrow. Even when life feels steady, my mind drifts toward what’s next, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. But the truth is, the key to tomorrow lies in how I live today. God continually reminds me, as He reminded Jeremiah, not to let fear or insecurity become my excuse: “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you… Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you” (Jeremiah 1:7–8).

That same voice calls me to act now, to start small, right where I am. There are people who need encouragement today. There are wounds that need tending, hearts that need listening, and small battles to be fought in faith. Around me, life is happening in every form, some celebrating new beginnings, others enduring heartbreak or loss. And in all of it, God calls me to stand firm and hold fast to the teachings passed down in faith (2 Thessalonians 2:15).

This is the moment that matters. This is where transformation begins...not in the future I can’t control, but in the present where I can love, serve, and speak truth. When I give my full attention to today, God meets me here with eternal encouragement and good hope (2 Thessalonians 2:16–17).

So I pause and thank Him, for another sunrise, another breath, another chance to reflect His goodness. In every success and every failure, He has never left me. His grace is steady; His love does not waver. As Jesus taught, “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34).

Thank You, God, for reminding me that You are the treasure of my life, the hope for the future and the strength for today.

34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

MATTHEW 6:34
